Sleep training is the process of teaching a child to learn to fall asleep independently.
I offer a range of gentle ‘in the room’ sleep training methods and ‘out of the room’ sleep training methods. We work together to choose a method which suits your parenting style, one you are comfortable with and most importantly is the right method for your baby or child.
Sleep training isn’t always necessary, just making some changes to your little one’s routine can make a big difference to their sleep.
Newborns from 3 weeks old to children up to their 5th birthday
All little ones are different so whilst one family may see improvement within a couple of days, others may take longer. It also depends on the sleep issue, for example teaching your baby to learn to self-settle can take longer using a gentle ‘in the room’ sleep training method than an ‘out of the room’ sleep training method and early waking habits can take 2 weeks or more to fix depending on the age of the child. Consistency and willingness to change are also vital to success. The more consistent you are the quicker the results will be.
