Hello, I’m Emma, a Certified Baby and Toddler Sleep Consultant having completed my training through baby sleep consultant training, a holistic science and evidence based intensive 6 month course approved by the International Institute for Complimentary Therapists.
I’m based in Chislehurst, South London and I have 2 young children, Ruben my eldest born in 2016 and Isabelle born in 2019. They are both great sleepers and I believe this is through my love of a good routine and keen interest in baby sleep!
But it wasn’t always this way….
When Ruben was born, I knew very little about babies sleep and I had no idea how long he should be sleeping for, when he should be having a nap etc and I really struggled with breastfeeding. I didn’t realise how hard this was going to be! Just when I thought things were starting to settle down, at around 16 weeks old, he started waking every 2 hours at night & would only go back to sleep if I gave him a bottle but he wasn't hungry as would only have the tiniest amount. Ruben would also only nap for 45 mins at a time during the day. I was at a loss as to why he wouldn’t sleep for very long.
After very little sleep through the newborn stage and 2 weeks of this I thought something needs to change so we decided to try some sleep training and after 3 days he found his thumb and started sleeping through the night with a dream feed!
With Isabelle, I was so keen to avoid sleepless nights from early on so I worked on getting her in to a good routine and putting some healthy sleep habits in place. From 10 weeks old she was sleeping through the night after her last feed at 10.30pm.
My success of helping my children get in to a good routine and sleeping through the night from an early age sparked my passion to become a Certified Baby and Toddler sleep consultant to help other parents help their child to sleep well too.
"Emma is a brilliant sleep consultant who has helped so many families to achieve harmony through bringing about better sleep, and empowering them with the confidence to read their baby/child. Her warm and supportive nature make her an absolute natural in this role"
